i always use super unleaded (97 RON) i dont think its desperately important you fill up with optimax EVERY time, my s1 runs fine on any super, would not recomend using regular unleaded unless you really cant help it, thats just my opinion though from experience.

Makes no odds mate - as long as it's unleaded it'll work. Optimax (or V-Power) will give you the best power gains but that's the only benefit. I personally steer clear of supermarket fuels in my S1 but they'll do the job.

Any unleaded for me. Normally morrisons or Shell as they are the closest and cheapest in the area. Depends where I am and what I'm doing at the time.

Yeh..but at what price and how long before that price increases to a stoopid amount
Anyone else noticed the prices have crept up 1 or 2p over the last week or so.

Why ? If the car's set-up for normal fuel then it shouldn't matter.

read the first post, where he says he uses optimax, so Lucid was saying if he has to use lower octane rating fuel not too boot it.
