my friend has just fitted a dump valve to his rst (by cutting the hose an fitting in a 'T' piece) an it stalls an struggles to idle,
is it gonna be a case of a dodgy seal on the pipe he's cut?
cheers

My advice (and proably most of the people that will reply to this) is to remove it as they cause more problems than they are worth.
What sort of valve has he fitted? The wrong one will cause an air leak.

As has been said its probably not a Twin piston type.
Up to you if you want to persuade him to remove it or not but a twin piston one is what he wants if he insists on having one
