lots, because all tvr main dealers or specialists know the owners have money to burn with having bought one already

was looking a getting one of these a few weeks back. apparently, even if they've had the updated harder cam fingers you're still looking at almost certainly 8k top end rebuilds every 20-30 thousand miles. ... so not reliable at all. shame as they're beautiful looking cars.

I am sure the Tuscan has the straight 6 TVR engine
and if you buy one make sure its had the top end already done as there was problems with the rockers wearing right through

Looked at buying a tuscan last year..stage 3 cos feels quicker imo..

annual service at local dealer was around Ł500...got put off by possible rebuild prices

even the one i test drove at the dealer had issues

I'm sure the servicing is more than Ł500. My mate had one and wanted to sell it, I considered it but I found out how much servicing, parts etc were for them and it turned me off it. And they do have a lot of reliability problems. Gorgeous car though, the one he had was in that chameleon colour. He's got a nearly new 911 now, gone for reliability I think.

Its the straight 6 motor in the tuscans hence them being called a speed .

When i looked into them a few years back EVERYONE advised against the straight 6 motor as they are meant to be that poo apparently

this is were i have my TVR serviced

http://www.offord.com/servicing.htm

very reputable independant

the engine does have problems depends how its been looked after

6k for a FULL rebuild with a warranty

its difficult to say which ones will need to be rebuilt ALOT do have problems esspecially pre 2004 cars.

HOWEVER this "risk" is reflected in the second had prices at the mo, waht other car can you buy that offers the same performance, looks, etc for the same money? not many (obviously factoring age)

the other concern currently with the T series cars is the lack of spare parts no factory and no one acutaly making very many either, this could be a problem there are reports of peoples car being off the road for weeks due to unaviable electrical parts etc

like i said though this is the reason prices are currently in free fall
