Default Can you drive your car straight after an exhaust change?

Just got through changing the backbox on the MR2 as the old one was fooked where it joined to the cat and blowing like hell. I've put the fire putty on etc and left it idling about 30 mins. It says it sets with heat so am I ok to drive it now or should it be left a few hours?

It ain't brand new it's from a breaker's.

On the MR2OC they said to use fire putty. I've never done it before so just went off what I've been told.

Yes you should be ok to drive it as the putty will go hard with heat

Oh, i'd probably let the car run for about 5 mins first so there isnt too much pressure trying to blow the putty out but instead will warm it up

I just let it warm for ten minutes then drive very gently for 5 miles or so.
