I built an Eagle RV (jeep C7 copy) many years ago - great fun, but faster when towed by my pal's S1 than it ever was under its own steam!!!

my dad an i started building a Robin Hood 2B. We ended up trying to change stuff on it cos it was such a shockingly awfull design!!

ended up sellin after havin it for 3 years.

DON'T get a Robin Hood! not worth all the trouble imho. far better off gettin a Westfield, end result looks far better too than a Robin Hood.

Be VERY careful what you buy. Alot are absolute Shite (namely robin hoods!). Westfields are excellent with alot of choice with engines/ suspension etc and reasonably good value (compared to a caterham). There are cheaper ones which can be made into very good cars, just depends on the builder.
Just try to stick to common drivetrain parts unless you want loads of very late nights. My RX7 turbo powered westie is being a bastard to get finished, just hope its going to be worth it.

Id do one and put a bike engine. Sooooo much fun and they sound awesome revved upto 13,000 rpm+!!!! Ive been in one with a 160bhp fireblade engine and it was the best car ive been in EVER. If you can call it a car that is.
