with arp rod bolts, they are good for 270bhp

not sure on max torque but lewis' (B16 TRB) was 379lbs iirc, and i belive that was std crank.

might not be tho

oi thats B19 dan!

i was told rods were good for 350hp! but i dont know how tru that was lol!

mine was 280hp & 370ftlb!

Paul said we could of went for 300hp but the torque would b to much for the rods! basically the spike was sendin the torque through the roof! so with proper boost control could of brought the torque down & the hp up!

Mine was 288 and 265lb/ft. I'd be more worries about high torque.

How much boost can I run on standard rods?? I was going to get Farndon Steel rods anyway, using ARP bolts ect.

boost means nothing.

20psi on a standard T3 is not the same thing as 20psi on a T34.

I'd be worried about too much torque and bending the rods.

nope i was on stanbdard rods!

if ur usin steel rods m8 u aint gotta worry about nowt! as the crank on a zetec is fookin hooge & as ranj said 500hp capable!

I was looking for about 260ish bhp and about the same at least of torque, so going by what you guys have said I should be fine!!

TBH spend the extra and get a nice set of rods. Only about Ł500-600 ish. Means when you want to go further later you can... and trust me you will want more power!!

Also it's good piece of mind too.
