Hi people after a little electrical help my car wont run it just turns over with the key.U can here the fuel pump relay clicking but the fuel pump wont prime or run.Ive used my power probe n when i live n earth the fuel pump it runs.When i disconnect the black n yellow terminals, ive got live at the yellow n a earth on the black.With both wires on the pump the live wire (yellow) becomes a earth.But when i remove the earth(black)n use the power probe 2earth the pump out it still doesnt run.Can someone help please.

 

Power probe not man enough as an earth, use a seperate piece of wire on the earth, then when it runs replace the earth!!

Right i will try it at the weekend i started the car monday morning n it was sweet.Then i tried it monday nite n it was just turning over.Where abouts wud u put the new earth wire 2 on the car to get the car 2 run.

 

I would just try it first straight from battery, if ok then I would just put it in boot area somewhere hidden, even if it means drilling a hole in panel somewhere and using nut bolt, or inder another GOOD point you can find, there should be some.

I will have a go at the weekend n c what i can do.Its pissed me off a bit cause it was running fine on monday morning.I carnt understand why i have a live at the pump n when the earth wire is plugged in the live turns to an earth.
