Well ive just taken a deposit on my Integra so am now officially on the hunt for another motor. Initially wanted an F150 lightning but am tempted to wait until the new shape prices drop a little rather than settle for the earlier one.

Leaves me with 3 options... An E36 M3 evo cabriolet on about an S reg, an evo 6 or an evo 7. All of them have their bad points so undecided :P

Has anyone ever driven the 7's?? and if so what are they like in comparison to the 6's???

don't know much about the cars mentioned although i just want to say could you not buy a NSX for the same sorta price?!

Having an Integra (type-r i presume) you must appreciate the power delivery and finesse of hondas?

anyway good luck whatever your choice, coz they're all fine cars.

 

yeah i love the NSX's but wouldn't own one. Kind of a dead market to sell on id say when it comes to sell. I also get back problems with very low down sports cars

Evo 6 all the way mate.....7 was styled for old people

If it was me....and i really looked at getting a 5/6. i'd buy the 6 but fit the front bumper from the 5 which looks nicer

but deffo the 6 over a 7 any day of the week

i would say 6 as its closeist to the raw rally car they originlly went to make as a road car but then went softer with the later ones. and also herd that the buld quality is very poor on the 7's aswell. 6's look better IMO aswell

 

my financal advisor (far too young to have one of those lol) has had a evo 4,5,6,7 and now has a 8. He liked the 5 and 6 best as "weapons" but loved the slightly less roar feel of the 7 and loves the usability of the 8, if that helps mate. I would say, going on what he says, that the 6 is the one if you want more of a beast, and it certainly looks better. Of course the 7 is a beast too, but maybe that little bit more refined.

DROVE THE 6 AND THE 8, THOUGHT THE 8 WAS POOR IN COMPARISON TO THE RAWNESS OF THE 6, IMO THE 6 LOOKS , FEELS AND GOES FAR BETTER, BUT ITS YOUR MONEY AND ITS WHAT YOU LIKE THATS IMPORTANT, BOLLOKS JUST REALISED THE CAPITALS

why dont you quadruple your budget and have an evo 8 fq400.....

I'd love a TME, and a few real nice ones have come up, but they are slightly out of budget, and with the Fiesta thing about to skint me I dont want to go over. I quite fancy a white Evo 6.....

I had a 6 and a 7 for about 3 months and after liking the 6 best slowly i came round to prefering the 7 as a all round car

 

I drove that 7 too best handling car i have driven but still prefer the looks of the 5. Which doesn't help you at all lol

my mates got a yellow 6 and its awsome

 

my mate has an F150 Harley Davidson and it is the fookin nuts - u get 10 times more looks in that than in my cossie

its fookin quick too - he kept up with a mates E30 touring which has an M5 engine and actually went past him after 80mph

 

go for the 6 mate!

 

the 6 like i had the 7 is a more everyday car but has a really really bad turning circle - the 6 is manic and got me a ban

 

For me its the 6 I have one, They are all Great cars any of them, The 8 will tech be the best but for me 6 6 6 6 , Go for the one that floats your boat .

I like the evo 6,but what about the bmw evo? they are I would get that as a no hassle fast everyday car and have your fiesta as a toy

Weve had W reg 6`s in that r ROTTEN cause imported 6`s dont come undersealed,and the owners dont bother gettin them done!

Yeh 6`s look better,but a 7 is a all round better car!!!

I prefer the 6 myslef,cause the 7`s dont look any good imo.

Underseal anyone that has been sold by a good importer will be undersealed I did mine myself so still in good nick .

I'll have to disagree there mate as the TME is the best of the 6's!

 

Evo VII looks far better than the VI,no stuck on arches and nicer wheels.The tranny is more advanced aswell.

If you want a beemer then rule out the M3 cab because the scuttle shake is pretty bad.Go for an MZ coupe instead.4.3 to 60
