i can quite honestly say ive tried / had them all, the cheaper 30 quid ones work kinda ok for a month or so but no real power, the sealy ones are slightly better and do last but forget starting most diesels especially if theres no batt power atall

nothing else works better than the snap on one, i bought mine a few months back for £180 1700 cranking amps it has started everything i wanted it to, i can honestly say if you use one quite often you simply cant buy anything else

You can buy new batteries for these cheap ones, depending on type about a tenner...

Cheers lads.

The £40 battery one i had, lasted 2 years, so might as well just try and replace the battery.

As for main's items, What sort of current do i need,

i have seen
120amp max booster for £55,
200amp for £94
400 amp for £118

Not sure what one i need, but i do need it to jump mainly tuned cossie's and RST's. even with flat batterys.

You probably want something in the middle mate - only really diesels / bigger engines need the bigger power ones.

Renton got me one... its OF THE CHARTS!!!! its got built in power outlets and a wicked compressor and emergency lights and you can do it from terminals or cigarette lighter.

Its was around 100 sheets but is one of best things I have ever bought. Only ever charged it once 8 months ago... must have started 30 cars?!?!? and is STILL FULL!!!!

PM Renton.

THERE SHITE ..i kept the receipt.and the box.. i know the first one was a godsend.about 8 flat tyres pumped up and jumped my old car about 4 times.

till it died after 7 months £80 would not hold the charge

exchange at shop n/p

second one wont hold a charge takes 4 days via the 12v power supply for 2 lights never goes to full charge

if you have the receipt ..the box..what more can they say.

ive got the 240volt option .but never used it.guess it would be piss poor looking at the ones i have bought

even so work this out

the charger has a safety feature which will not allow it to jump start a car unless it has 1.5 volts inside the battery..."the car not the charger SO does not that defeat the object in the first place "

i may ask for a refund this time ..as if you have a total flat battery your FUCKED anyway.. nice bit of kit that

Got hold of a 120a booster to test yesterday, (cost £100 ish)

Drained a battery to dead flat on my brother Pulser gtir, and tried it.

after less than a minute of booster charge, it started easierly,
so i disconected the king ht lead, and turned it over, and it was fine for that too.

So going to buy a 120 - 200 amp booster/starter from Machinemart for £60-80, matters what they have at the shop when i go there.
