I've not done many metallics, just any old marble will do.. kids toy shop maybe?

I find if you give the final coat a dust it kinda evens out the metallic, hard to explain really

Wouldnt be a good idea to use a marble as my gun is only a gravity fed thing

Any other suggestions ?

Aslong as you mix the paint correctly with thinners then no problem its all down to how you apply it after that.

DONT lay it heavy like you would solid colour but still look for a nice even wet coat.Apply 3 coats like this then last coat apply a mist effect type coat and you will see the colour even out then apply 2/3 nice wet coats of laquer and ure done

Simple really
