What new tricks tho? Far as i can see theres nothing really done in the top jap engines that isnt being done in the top cossie ones.

Apart from maybe claiming 900bhp and not bettering high 10s (Sorry, i was turning into Dingy/RANJ for a second )

I honestly dont know mate. You probably remember the thread I am on about as I remember you posting on it IIRC. Someone was making out it was going to be something special. I never knew the details. They also said it was close to being done.

Dont get me wrong, hes better than most UK tuners (of cars in general, not any in particular), im not saying hes shit or anything as hes not.

 

You forgot about pumping Ł250,000 into a car rather than a fraction of that ammount, which the top cossy boys spend in order to acheive similar results

Nah, thats the thing, its unfair to slate him, hes built some VERY powerful cars, no denying that (well the 2 EVOs and the S13), just IMO they hyped up far more than they have achived.

(Tho the EVO5, and the EVO7 at the beginning was the first groundbreaking EVOs in the country)

I know a guy here in Oz that uses a HKS T51 on an S15 Siliva with a 2.2L stroker and Avgas. Dosn't hit boost until 6000+ rpm!!!

I'd like to see what a HKS T04Z would be like

Japcrap- Generally HKS tell the truth actualy on power claims, but no idea if its really the least laggy turbo of that size, theres 100s of 700bhp turbos around, and ive never seen a T4Z used on anything

 

JAP CRAP,

if you were thinking of using a T51, it would only be useful for drag racing or top speed runs... its THAT laggy! You'd have to use NOS with it like the Escort Cossie above does...

My mechanic runs a turbo similar to a GT42 on a nissan 2.0L engine and he ran a 10.4 second 1/4 mile on its very FIRST night of racing! (a few days after he ran 10.01 @ 149 MPH)... plans to hook up the NOS next..

My engine is being built at the moment and I'm bored of it already. not even got it back yet

 

Doms T4 is costing him 5 times what a T51 would anyhow, so its got to be better
