Hi i have a mk5 escort

Can you tell me how the car will drive if it's the Diff has gone ?

When you change gear the car goes all over the place is that the Diff ?

the diff i dont think so mine does it aswell it could be wishbones, ball joints, uneven tyre pressure, worn anti roll bar bushes, is there any clunks or noises form the front end

also check the hubs are tight and the tracking

engine mounts , anti role bar s and wishbones would all make a knocking noise when pulling away and mostly over speed humps that if the knackered
