200hp from an A-series IS about as reliable as a chocolate ashtray

The bloke who owns "Mini Williams" rebuilds the engine/box, himself each year!

Best of sticking in a C16SE from a vauxhall

I reckon the Metro GTI conversion looks a good setup for a quick, everyday car.

Thing I find people forget is:They think of Minis like other cars and go for 150-200bhp etc.Where as:Because the Mini is light and small it doesn't need as much power to be the same sort of quick as other cars.

VVC engines are expensive aren't they?

C20XE 'might' need a different front, not too sure on the front situation.

C16XE is not that different to the C16SE referring to power etc.Plus it's twin cam.
