identifieng ofac map sensor
i ahve a funny feeling that someone on ebay has sold me the wrong map sensor,mine is square whereas all the pics i look at have a triannge shape?

It looks identical to a 3i map sensor, except one of the corners is at a funny angle if that makes sense?

the corner on mine is not angled like the pic,mine is like a square shape without the slanted corner,do i have the wrong one?

shit,thanks mate at least i know what im looking for now cant belive i fell for that.
would it effect how it runs with the wrong map sensor,could i have dmaged anything by starting it the other day?

Yea it would affect it, although i doubt you've caused damage, just dont get boosting it until you have a proper one!
The OFAC ones are always that obscure shape, and usually have a metal tag on the front with the part number.
might be worth getting an OFAB ECU and using a marelli map?

wish i had now,but already have bought the ofac ecu,if i see an ofab 1 cheap enough i will snap it up though

Gives you a little more room for tuning aswell with OFAB because you can go up to a 3 bar one

Mine had a years MOT on it and its probably done 5 miles since, and its run out again now
You still got that EFI orion there?

not being funny but are u sure its just that 1 had different part numbers to the 3i one i got with the loom???
might explain y my car over fuels when it boosts

that map sensor is the same as what ive got and i got mine off sum1 that was stripping a fiesta rst so unless hes messed me about aswell,seems a bit strange that theres 2 so far that cud b wrong and b totally different from an xr3i map sensor

mine is correct just taken it off the car those first pics i done dident show the angled bit
part number on it is v90fb-9f479-aa
