My Escort RS Turbo finishes on ebay this saturday, IF the car doesnt sell, im looking at keeping it and throwing some money at the engine......At the moment the car has a piper 285t cam and is chipped(chip unknown) and a -31, im looking to get more power from the engine but im unsure how to do this(im no mechanic). Id like to achieve around the 230bhp mark, what do i need to do to get this ? Im thinking about changing the cam, getting the ECU remapped(if its possible), and having the head ported and polished, will i need to buy new pistons, con rods and get the bottom end balanced ? I have a budget of around £2000 is this enough or do i need to budget more ? id like to stay with the cvh lump. Can somebody give me advice on the best way to get 230bhp from my engine please
