Default Dual monitors rock :top:

Okay, so not a "true" dual monitor set up, as in two monitors sharing one PC for "extended" desktop (tho I did have that going on earlier just for fun )

At the mo, it's one monitor for the PC (right hand side) and another one connected to my HDD media player - cos there's fuck all to watch in TV whilst on PC

Thought I'd try it out as this is how I will have it (roughly) when I get all moved into my gaff - cept the HDD media plyer will be replaced with a freeview/dvd box

Dunno bout loaded Skint as fuck but been collecting stuff for ages, buying bits at a time and nearly all of it is second hand bargains from ebay. Both those monitors cost about Ł75 (each, bought seperate times)

Avid - in that pic, my Dell Pc is running one monitor (right one) from a stock on board VGA output, and the second is being run by a HDD media player that has VGA output, so not a "true" dual monitor set up as I mentioned

On the "ghetto HTPC" in my other thread, I put a boggo NVidia MX440 AGP card (64mb?) which has VGA and SVid - I only wanted it for the SVid to connect to the TV, but if you connect both you can have "split desktops" over two screens

That "ghetto HTPC" is only ever gonna be connected in the sitting room to the CRT TV tho - the only reason I got a second monitor was to watch TV on when at the PC, so it will never be connected to a PC. I bought a DVD player that has internal Freeview and also has a VGA output - so I connect it to the monitor, which allows me to watch TV when at the PC, without a big bulky TV sat on the desk. And it's just the right size for it's position on the desk, so I ain't sitting too close to a big fat tube screen CRT

I'd love a 2405 but I'd need two to pull it off, and I can't justify the money on em

I used to run 2 x 17" crt's on my geforce 5600mx graphics card

Outlook running on one, surfing the web on the other. Then, Windows Media player on one, winamp on the other loaded with porn

Do have do disable one of them when running some games. I'll get another 19" flat screen for this machine soon I reckon

I've got too many flatscreen 17" Dells at the moment, running three monitors on two PC's, with another two monitors gathering dust!!

Wanna sell one? Depending on price, I might buy it for my old dear, so she can get rid of the huilking great 17" CRT which takes up most of the room on the PC desk she has!
