Just after a bit of advice on which clutch to buy.

My Series2 is running roughly 220bhp.
I don't want a paddle clutch either...it'll just spoil the driving.

What clutch can you recommend?

I was in the same position a couple of years ago.

Got speaking to a woodford motorsport to get some advice.

They said a normall organic clutch good enough to carry that sort of power would be very heavy and that I might have to uprate my pedeal box.

I went for a paddle clutch and found it to be fine, does have very slight judder at certain biting points but not really that noticable.

It doesn't grab or anything and seems to still wotk ok.

It's an AP 4 paddle clutch.

 

That's known as wanting to 'Have your cake and eat it!!'

If you really do have 220bhp, you will need a clutch that can handle that power. I didn't decide that I wanted a clutch that needs an Arnie style leg to operate it, it just goes with the territory.

That said, the AP Uprated Organic should be OK for you. Ł265 inc delivery from me!!

 

I too have an ap paddle one, except for a bit of judder when you pull off, you'd never know it wasn't an organic one. As christian said, you can't have it all...

 

why do you think a 4 paddle will spoil the driving

if you put on a std cover plate on with the 4 paddle there is no diff what so ever

 

But Alex, how can it be right to use a Friction Plate with a cover plate that it wasn't designed to be used with? A Cerametallic plate needs the higher amount of clamping force. Why do you think AP put a heavy cover with it? Was it for the comedy value of seeing lots of people walking around with a muscular left leg??
