Default update on my 1/18 mk1 escoss and 4wd 3door lots of pics

well most of you have seen my collection so heres a bit of an update ive just finished my 3 door and mk1 escort the mk1 i wanted a factory fit/look with the engine and box etc .the 3 door has been completly stripped and re painted in moondust silver [my favourite colour ]ive also fitted it with nos/a full leather trim/huge 6 pots all round new powder coated rims/ tv / 3 gauges n rev counter with shift light/ quick shift/new pedals/fire extinguisher and best of all its now running 4wd and a small escoss engine heres a few pics take a look and let me know what you all think

in the beginging,

then the striping began

time for some paint propper ford moondust silver

now for the rebuild.tried it with some different rims but im sticking with the black ones now

now for the mk1 and some group pics

how factory does the mk1 look took me fooookin ages to get it right

i have collected all my engines and spares over a long period of time from all sources mainly scrap cars but i have bought a few and broke em up.i came buy someone in a model shop who sold me a load of stuff which he got from a couple ofwell known model companies which did have a load of ford bits includding rare engines which was a really good find but ive never come up trump like that since but i do have a few places that i can get some good bits from but its not from this country and takes ages to arrive which can be a right pan in the arse

heres some pics for ya

these are just some off my collection

because every one does the usuall sierra cossie engine.have you ever seen another cossie model running a small turbo escoss engine???
also i wanted it to be 4wd so by putting the engine out of the escoss i thought it would make more sense that way

well have had a bit of spare time so i thought id have another session with the 1/18s and do a bit of modding.after getting the mk1 and the sierra finished and putting them on the shelf i have now decided i want them a little different so heres the pics.any comments good or bad are welcome

fitted a nice rev counter with shift light

now onto the rebuild first off with the boot

then the new back box

also fitted some new big brembos and rims please note all my wheels still move and you can change the wheels

and back on the shelf

now heres a few of the 3 door with some new mods

and also back on the shelf

and heres a few shots of them together

thats it for now still working on a few new onews at the minute and as soon as there sorted ill get the pics up

its a very time consuming job taken them apart but i have been doing it for ages so you get used to it but have broken a few bits in the past and ruined some decent models thats why people appreciate them so much as they know how tricky and time consuming they are to get right and make them look like they were done like it already and with all mine all my wheels turn and steer and are removable where as most others are just glued on and you cant steer them

You should also make the lip on the top Spoiler of your Moondust 3dr black. Would finish it off i reckon. (like on the white one)

its not so much hard mate as it is time consuming as the cars are very delicate also its the sourcing of the parts thats a real pane .but if you can get em and have the patients then go for it or you could buy one of mine
