how much is a cma belt change these days?

booked my S1 in for a cam belt change, but dunno what the going price is!!

thats pretty daft mate never ask for anything to be done unless you get a price first.always ask there hourly rate.and get a proper qoute, saying that if anything else needs doing they must contact you first.

£30-50 inc vat and belt depending who you know etc

 

Its a mate, he charges £30 an hour. But i didnt ask a final price, i just wondered what im looking at?? as i want to replace the suspension top bushes and have a few peices sprayed, need to make sure im going to have enough cash.

is the car tuned? if so check the timeing befor hand to see where its set at and for your own benifit then get it checked after the timing belt has been replaced.

 

I think standard ford cam belts are about £18, so factor that on top of fitting.
