glowing red turbo

glowing red turbo
when i am giving it death my turbo glows red, only the manifold to turbo area, ie near the 4 bolts that hold the turbo to manifold. is this normal the car runs and boosts mint,

ll be gettin a set up soon enough tho

ok cheers so i need to move my cam timin back a little on my vernier pulley. but am sure my top timin mark is dead on 12 o clock.

Could be lean on fuel, too little ignition timing or too much cam advance. Can't really say it's normal, though it might be a "feature".

every turbo car i've seen thats been given a bit of death has had the turbo glowing.
Don't touch it, or you will vapourise your hand.

sounds normal to me, dont worry about it as prolonged high revs like say 4-5k motorway miles or something like will make you glow.
However as alwys get your RS set up at a tuner, do this when you buy one
you never know.......

As Lucid says, normal motorway driving is enough to get your turbo glowing.
