just bought another s2 for a bargain price as there are a few issues with it...

the guy told me he went over a speed bump and hit the gear box...it now wont select 1st or 2nd, the mounts have snapped and he 'bodged' it by sticking a bit of wood between the gbox cradle and gbox....

ive had a look and its leaking, not a lot, and im not sure what to do...

new gbox? or could it be saved?

can anyone give me another idiots guide for the removal of the g/box plse?

not sure mate, ive got a new g/box and linkage now.

i cant seem to pinpiont where its leaking from,

im loosing it now, the black one needs an engine, bought a bottom end from someone (not going to say who) and its completely shagged..

and the blue one needs the g/box issue sorting....

im not far from selling or breaking them now

 

well its either going to be the driveshaft oil seals or selector shaft oil seals, or a crack in the casing.

If someones flogged you a fucked bottom end name and shame

 

yeh ive jus bought a 2nd hand gearbox i was told had been rebuilt a few k ago!
its been on 3 weeks n sounds worse than my original one! im so short of cash im guan try n do the bearings myself on my original 1!
