Default help me please my cossy is smoking

and i dont mean benson & hedges!!!

when driving if i shut off then re-apply throttle then hey presto a big puff off blue smoke...its deffo oil cause you can smell it
same when i pull off from junctions
give it full welly and the after the initial"puff" it clears...but then shut off, then back on .and puff!!

i have changed the turbo (for one i know is good) still the same

i took the car on the rollers the other day and whilst there i had a leak down test on the cylinders..that was fine each cylinder was less than 10%

any ideas???

I'd say the stem seals have gone hard and can no longer seal allowing the oil to run by into the cylinders!

does it ease once warmed up?

Short trips cause my breather system to gum up quickly

And i'm sure silicone hoseing is no good for breather applications

right this is getting on my fookin wick now!!!!

heres the facts..

bailey breather system all clear..
cylinder leak down test all ok
changed turbo

heres whats happening..

if i leather the car on a straight run shut off for a short while..gas on again..big cloud blue smoke...

if i brake hard to a junction..stop then pull off (or even just rev it)..big puff blue smoke..

if i corner quickly...big puff blue smoke...

its as if there is too much oil in the car..even when there is just minimum..

it is the same (if not a little worse) when hot

the motor runs sweet as a nut apart from this

its bloody embarrasing everytime i pull off fookin smoke everywhere!!!

i was talking to a pal of mine the weekend and his cossy has just started doing the same..for no apparent reason..

Did you have oil in the turbo to cooler pipe?

if a turbo has been leaking oil gets everyware and can sit in the bottom of a 500 cooler untill u pull up where u have a vacuum and more oil is then passed to the inlet undo ur plenum and check here for oil....
same goes when u boot it as forced air carries oil once again

U will find it only takes a drip to produce a lot of smoke!!!!!!

B carefull mate cos oil burning can and will cause DET!!!!!!!! more so on no 4 piston as is the last to be fed....

when i changed the turbo all the inlet pipes and throttle body were clean as a whistle..there was some oil burning from the exhaust side of the old turbo cause it was visible on the wastegate...the census of opinion is stem seals but im not convinced....i was thinking of sticking in some of that valvoline leak seal stuff ...i am re=building the engine soon just need a couple of months till my 3 door is finished
