ive wired mine up to the edis module using my original mfi loom to the speedo from the original coil, think its still reading wrong, do i need to wired up both green wires from the original coil??
If your tachometer was previously driven by a single coil, your tachometer will need input from two coils to indicate properly. Below is a simple circuit showing how to interface the EDIS system with your tach:
Sorry to hi jack the post but got similar problem with my car got coil packs using a p8. In the diagram are the traingle bits diodes? If so where do you get them from?
If you connect the original green tacho wire to edis pin 11 then it will read fine. you will need to put an extra pin in the edis plug though as it doesn't have one for pin 11.

rrr yes just checked mine, where can i get the bits to put another pin in? need a kit of some kind
if the rev counter isnt wired up properly as mine is now, would this cause proplems for the idle and the set up of the idle ?
duno how to go bout adding a extra pin in the edis block connecter so that pin 11 is added
I think you just drill a small hole as the back piece of plastic is blonked over, and then you can insert a pin. You'd need to go down the scrappy and get a pin out of another EDIS plug though

r ok, cos i know when you set the idle you have to hold it a certain revs, with the idle valce disconnected, but wonderd if it read that through the ecu or the speedo

Go to Maplins for the bits.
Do the negative side of coil 1 and 2 mean the original green wires going to the ignition coil on the s2?
I have set this up, however my needle is sometimes accurate and sometimes just lays in the corner. Is my revcounter broke? Signal looked good on scope!
