Had one a few years back, best car i have ever owned. Had a French Blue with silver bumpers, GEM's management, BBS alloys etc etc... Lovely to drive, handles well, practical being a 4 seater with a decent sized boot. Advantage with the GEMS is that I ran 2 fuel maps switchable via the dash enabling me to run one on Optimax and one on Unleaded for longer normal journeys! Still personall Would deffo buy another one!!

I've recently bought one.

Its an RS2 FQ300 and is a brilliant car.

Use it every day to travel to work and get 23mpg out of it.

Go drive one thats the best thing to do.

Link to my one on the MLR

P.S. my mate has a red VII for sale on there and its a stunning motor

I have already moved on and FWIW I don't miss my Escos at all, I wore the Ford binkers too long and should have got an Evo sooner.

Any of the later model Evo's are superb. I have a VII (pics are on here somewhere, do a search for them) and am currently down in the country over here in Oz. I bring it down here for a blast along the open roads and through the mountain twisties which is where they come into their own.

They handbrake turn beautifully as well if you know how
