hey people had anuff of trying to sort my engine mounts out , so disided it will be easyer to make some ? i have the 1.8 cvh mounts that were ament to fit but they just seem so wrong what sorta thicnkess steel am i gonna need both for the plate ( to put the holes in so i can fix it to the block )and the tube ( from the plate to the rubber mounts them self ) i can mig weld and have use of some awsome migs at work were i can use thick wire! any help welcome , also will i need to off set the mounts to face forwade or back or is that my choose of were i want the engine to sit? would havin them just straight be a prob?

no rush with the welder, but wanna weld me floor thurs or friday, so when youget a chance

 

ill weld it get gas ill do it sat moring as long as u got the bits cut out the floor ready and the new bits to weld in

I've got something like 5-6mm plate and 3 or 4mm wall thickness tube about 2" diameter.
