Ive just heard the new tax rises on the radio and it says that heavy polluting cars will pay double tax!
What do they class as heavy polluting cars then? They must have a band of cars they intend to tax higher?

Cossies etc wont get touched as they are not in the new tax bracket range.
It goes of emissions, so have a look how much your cars CO2 on sits like parkers. Money up on Fags good

I agree with the fags going up as they know most of the dirty buggers will pay it anyway, so good call in my opinion.
No ones mentioned the 2p cut in income tax though.
The budgets just swings and roundabouts, where you gain on one, you lose out on another.
Although the fact that their still hanging on to this global warming and co2 shite, and using it as an excuse to tax bigger engined cars more is just ridiculous now. especially when the true evidence says otherwise.

Do you guys not think that to those people who can afford cars who do naff all miles to the Gallon should have to pay more tax.
People who own 4X4's for the local school run.
Sorry but I feel they should it is their choice to own a "statement" car.
They probably have a big house and have to pay high band council tax, so why not higher car tax we need to start realising all fuels are not unlimited.
I dont really drink or smoke so I dont give a shit about fags and drink going up but I rely on my car to do my job. Without it i'd be on the bread line. If they tax me off the road in my eyes it will for millions of others too.

So come on smokers, keep on smoking and handing over the cash!!! Seriously though, the government would be buggered without smokers as its a major source of income for them. the tax from cigarettes in the uk comes to just short of 9billion quid....per year
7.8 billion of which is designated to the nhs....
and in turn the nhs pays out 1.5 billion to treat smokers..
so thats 6.3 billion from us,....the,...how did one pf user put it,...the dirty buggers,...putting into the nhs...

I drive a 911 (996) turbo which is 339 g/km so that will be £400.
I also have a noble which I suppose doesnt need road tax as the fucking thing never works
I have my own LTD company of which I pay myself the majority of my money via dividend and that has increased to 22%!
Why do the goverment always seem to target the wrong people, they want to clamp down further on the fucking wankers in the world that dont work out of choice (please let me reiterate the out of choice part!!)
I would estimate without going into things properly that i'm £3k per annum out of pocket now well from when they implement everything, and thats just through income & road fund licence!!
