Default a slight miss fire

right got the new engine in theres no air leaks in it but when you go on to full boost the car stutuers then back fires anyone any ideas whats happening

its running 0.5 bar so i cant see it being the limiter

aye its a new dizzy were goingto reset the timing i did adjust thhe mixing screw on the throttle body tho

The screw on the throttle body is just the idle speed.

Timing is a good move

im going to do that the night ill let you know hows it goes if you just ease the turbo in theres no prblem just when its open full

took its out this morning got her hslf way work and it was missfiring and lost power the boost gauge was wobbling about. then under deceleration i noticed a wee bit of smoke out the back could the turbo be shagged

If you had a significant air leak the car wouldnt start and idle!

well you got to keep the throttle on or it cuts out it wint idle it done it before when the mixture screw fell out

I'd start from scratch personally, rip everything out of the engine bay and inspect every hose etc before re-fitting, but thats me

personally i would check the limiter,,as safechav said,or believe it or not,mine was doing similar things,till i re-wired my pump with clean fresh conections,full power and no dry joints in the lead-to-post connections, and alls well, until my limiter pops a biggun,to tell me off.

i had this sort of problem fine on idle then when i booted it started to miss fire turned out to be a fooked ht lead

thats what im planning to do as i say i heard a hose pop off and then no power and backfiring. its getting booked in for a set up in the next two weeks my car my pals car and his pals car are all doing the same thing
