Default Owners of diamond white cars ,who have had bodywork done ?

I am worried about the colour match on my car if I get some work done that I intend on.

I have read that there are many variations of diamond white , i.e some that wont match etc andwould like to know how successful work on your car has been ?

BROM@ZOO Stick some punctuation in and it makes it a lot easier to read mate

escortgti.com You shouldn't have a problem colour matching if you go to a reputable painters, but as Brom said there are many different shades..and that goes for most colours, not just diamond white.

Go to a known Topclass bodyshop & the match will be perfect. It may not be cheap but well worth paying extra. Had Brake fluid down the side of mine after a seal went, payed Top dollar & I cant tell where it was sprayed so im sure others cant. He now has an exact match for mine logged so I will always go back there.

we've just had a van back after it needed it's side doing

to say there was a difference would be an understatement

the bumper is the same white as the side sliding door, but they are different whites to the bonnet and wing and the door is another white and the rear quater is another shade

they collected it today so i'll expect a full respray when it comes back

had the same problem on my saph
they tried to blemd in the colours all down the side but itwouldn't match, they said there were 4 different shades of white and i said they had plenty more atempts to egt the paint right then

ended up getting the whole car done, and then binned it about 6 hours later

got the colour code off our vin plate, got a litre mixed up and did the rear panel, front panel and inside floor of our mk3 wiv no match issues. Flat White is a lot easier to match than say black or a pearl blue.

black is the esiest to match because there is no way your eyes can tell the difference between the shades as there is only realy two tipes of straight colour black one is blue the other is brown

To be honest if it is done I will most likely be doing it myself , though getting a price on a bodyshop wont be off the cards.

I have a little rust around my rear number plate surround , lacquer coming off the rubstrips and the front bumper cou;d be doing with a lick of paint.

I am now less confident in a match however

No Brom: some people don't know.
I'd seen a few "When are Zoo open again?" threads but didn't read them in all honesty as I didn't know the answer as I don't know you or been to Zoo before. Sorry. All I know is you do some great suspension work.

Are you better now (apart from your lack of punctuation keys onyour keyboard )? Hope everything is ok or getting there.

I except that, but when you find a decent sprayer its hard using anyone else, just in case.

it also depends on what paint type they are using, c.o.b would be easy to lose a colour difference into the next panel anyway....

i got mine spot on ,took a few attempts at tinting but got it spot on in the end
