how do you drain a gearbox and diff in situ
On a 2wd cossie.
Want to completley change oil on both

gearbox has drain plug
diff does not
i uesd a vacuum pump via a big glass jar to empty my diff - and then dropped it all over myself and the floor. that stuff stinks like shit

Thought the box was filled from half way up, is there another drainage point

i just losen the diff bolts off slightly then prise the cover back a couple of mill

why is it Ford almost never put drain plugs on g/box's
The rare exception being the 4x4 trans box.
Doing a Granada autobox was a right pain in the arse, and very messy, until I found the cheats way of doing it.
