hi

Does it change the sound of the gearbox of have standart oil or 75-90 sintetic oil ?

Now I go synthetically and now it sounds as some gearbox of motorsport.

I use the same rating Mobil oil in my gearbox and its silent apart from 2nd and 3rd as they are straight cut

Workshop manual says 1.2L for the gearbox (or 0-5mm below oil level check plug)

Transfer box 0.5L (or 18mm below oil level check plug)

The std 4x4 gearbox is best off with the recommended Ford oil. I only run different as that's what my gearbox builder advised (on a Quaife gearset).

and go and find a ford guy who knows what the original oil is, not the newer stuff that ford says will do the trick (the same trick they used to flog all their 10w30 oil for every engine nowadays)
