Hi guys n girls
Failry new on here, as just bought another Fordy, and this one's a keeper.
Already asking loads of questions and annoying ppl (sorry SafeChav) as this is my first turbo, but it isn't fully finished/set up yet. Looking forward to getting it done though!
Here's some pics of my new baby. She's a clean old bus, failed her MOT the other week on a wiper blade, a loose wheel bearing and a bulge in one tyre!!! Not too shabby for an 17 year old car me thinks!!! Passed the re-test no probs!!
Any comments/views/suggestions welcome
Cheers peeps

Cheers for all the good comments people
I'm really chuffed with it, so clean and sounds the baws!
THe tubby conversion wasn't complete when I bought her, so the boost is only at 3-4psi as not to blow the whole thing to smithereens!!!
But just picked up the running gear from a FRST last night, so will be getting her running normal boost asap

If you plan on selling her, Please contact me.. That looks well mint. Lovely example.
Do you plan to get the whole of the RS kit for it... They look superb with that kit on it...
or is the exterior staying in sleeper mode.

G1EN - Not sure about getting the whole kit, liking the standard look of the car. Once I get the tubby set up properly, I might fit an ERST bonnet so it gets as much air as possible through the vents to keep it cool.
I done some photoshop stuff with clear front/side repeaters, but tbh that's probably all I would do, but not sure yet. Got some other stuff to spend cash on first before I buy anything that I don't really need that's just for cosmetic use.
I have the original pepperpots there, the thought crossed my mind about getting them done anthracite or dark grey to match the bottom half of the car, but not sure. I like the mondy rims.
Steve - got an Ofab ECU, Map Sensor, wiring loom and full inlet manifold off a FRST from Goldie off fifecarnutz for 100 bucks!
Can't wait to get it all set up, but just found a nail in the front tyre so that's first on my fix list!

Sweet mate...i prefer the pots on her, def go them
Mind i have that guide if you want it...you wont need to change the inlet manfold mind as it is a Frst one on it!!
That goldie was after Ł150 for the ecu and map sensor when it was first advertised and i said no chance, so well done on gettin him down!! Let us know when its all fitted and running, would be good to see the differance!!

Steve - Yeah, i know I didnt need the manifold, but one of the members on here says I'd need the IAT sensor off a FRST, and as they are unique, I asked goldie about it, so he said he'd throw in the whole manifold. Not gonna argue for Ł20!
That guide you have might come in mega handy like, I'll give you a shout when I'm thinking about getting it put together

Lovely looking car, keep it like it is.
Can you just tell how much it's lowered from standard as it sits perfectly IMO. any rubbing issues at all ?
What size wheels and are they the Mondeo version ??
Cheers

It's lowered 60mm on Gmax springs, and yes they are Mondeo rims, 16 inch.
Considering putting the original pots back on though
No rubbing at all, even over speedbumps, although the bolts at the front of the exhuast do scrape slightly on SOME of the humps because it's so low.

I was well disappointed thinking something must have happened to the mondy rims.
The pots did grow on me, so might give them a wee go at some point, but was definitely pleased when I knew the mondy rims were ok!

Lol, so keeping the orange lenses it is then!
Heard Ofab was better than Ofac though, as was able to be tuned easier? I don't know enough about them myself, won't be doin it myself either, got a mate who knows what he's up to
