i'm thinking of ordering an ashley exhaust system for my s2
butt are the any good?
what about the noise?

Ashley pride themselves on making the loudest exhaust's on the market
get a stainless steel one instead like a Mongoose

 

Or a scorpion !!!!

 

it's a competition exhaust. Racing only. Loud.

i would like to get a stainless steel one butt then it won'd gett past m.o.t
in belgium
and i can't juse the original one for m.o.t because it's got a large hole in it

can u not source anothe original one? from the sounds of things the ashley one will give u a headache in no time as even the mongoose stainless isn't quiet as such

 

yes i can buy a new one butt for a little more i can have a ashley witch is better than an original no????

the sound it makes is not so much a problem if it helps a little with the performance

i had the ashley full system with 4-2-1 manifold on my xr2
loved it, yes it was loud but what a sound, real raspy. only prob is that ther made from mild steel and arnt all that strong. saying that mine prob only broke because my axle was bolted to the chassis extremly low

 

with a decent manifold you will notice the difference, will be alot more responsive wen combined with a decent air filter too

 

its a standard s2 with a k&n panel filter and drild out filterbox and a second fan over the intercooler that it

butt i'm building a 1.8 zvh for it

get a standard one. They can handle 200hp no problem.

 

me too on the xr2 it sounded like a xr2 only very loud with a very distinct rasp
