Default Cossie Problems :( Please Help or im going to burn it

Please help this is driving me mad!
My cossie had developed a misfire, found the phase sensor wires had completely disintegrated! Changed the phase sensor (and the rotor arm, as it broke) and now it wont even start. Pulled No.1 plug out and am getting a very weak yellow spark.

Gapped the sensor to .2mm and aimed the rotor arm @ number one with the engine timed up.

Could I have pluged the phase sensor wire on the wrong way round? I put the positive to the red wire....

And when I turn ignition key off (with the plug out) I get a spark??????

Would the ignition amplifier be damaged from the phase sensor wires?

Won't damage it at all swapping it over, Lots of people connect them the wrong way round and it causes allsorts of running issues
