Was it a 'Swedish' one or a cheap copy?

I'm on std EsCos one, but 'O' ringed for a better/more reliable seal.

Just noticed your sig - you should be fine with what you're getting. If the spacer makes a difference at your power level, you'd really need a remap too....

Think the 4x4 cover is good for around 450 , small turbo 500 and rs500 cover 550+.

its not really the plenum thats the restriction, its the elbow.

As abr500 says the eecv small turbo escort is a cracking inlet.

Mines made 453 ATW using one.

So the elbow on the 4x4 cover is restrictive then, sounds like its up to the job so ill bolt it up and see how it goes.

I have a Swedish replica inlet plenum, made to replace an ally one that split a couple of times along the welds (after ballooning up anytime it saw decent boost)

Not had a problem with mine, Doug Stirling also uses the same one on his 568bhp car.

That's the problem with some of the copies, they're not fit for purpose . I have seen LOADS of these do the same thing. Not ONE of our proper Swedish ones have failed in any way, shape or form .

Now you know why the copies are "cheap" .

it is a weapon mate with his current gearing he reaches the limiter (188mph) by the time mine is just about 145mph ish..... measured on the same stretch of road (which isn't that long!)

it's only because he has no interest in competition that we haven't seen more of it

i wonder if he'll lend it to me for the Pf thrash

Not doubting it is a weapon mate, but 220 and no its nothing to do with being MAD, its just i dont beleive he did it thats all

IF the thrash ever gets going, keep on at Karl night and day to turn up
