Default 2wd T5 gearbox oil.......anything newer been tried???

Am just about to buy some gear oil for my cossie's box...I know it should be ATF but as oil technology has progressed some what in the last 20 years I just wondered if there was a more up to date oil that would be a better alternative?

Stu.

A good quality 75/90w synthetic, its what ive used before a Motul or silkolene , vastly improves the gearchange as well .
