OMG LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!! UPDATED!!!
I was in Germany today, close to the Dutch border when I spotted one of these near an empty building....
It's basicly a Russian SAM complete with the 4 boosterrockets and apart from the explosives and mainengine it is complete!
Even the guidance system seems to be pretty much intact...I took the nosecone of (wich is in the back of my van as we speak
) and it's all mint inside!
Tonight I will go back to resque the 4 boosters and hopefully tomorrow the mainrocket...
THE ULTIMATE WORKSHOP ACCESORY!
FYI it weighs 2450 kilo's, flies at a maximum altitude of 27 kilomtres at 1000 meters per second with a range of a 100 kilomtres.
MY VERY OWN WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION!

Well it has been left there by someone next to an abandoned building, next to a public road, no fences, no signs and it's half covered in building debris and crap, so I'm saving it for future generations
It will look the bollox stood upright ( all 7.5 meters of it!!!) in our workshop!

I've actually considerd mounting on the roof of our pickup *wich is an all american item* and to turn up with a Russian SAM at our annual all American car weekender

thing is, I wonder what to say to enquiring police-officers when the question me about the reason for having a SAM on my trailer

Right then: turns out they were on German soil, right behind a big building...that big building turns out to be the customs office
after thinking about it briefly I decided that if they can nick our bicycles it is only fair I should nick their rockets so here's the four rocketboosters
They have some dirt on the but they clean up very very nicely!
The multiplugs are actually still sealed
I also took part of the carrier and will return tomorrow for the rest of that and hopefully the mainrocket!

We've just opened one of the boosters, it's a solidfuel rocket and the top bits with electronics and shit are all still sealed!
Will take a pic tomorrow when the batteries are full again, no fuel inside but it's all complete and usable...and i guess that's the scary part of it

No carrier unfortunatly... 
All there is is one complete SAM and the four boosters mounted on a transport cradle.
After closer inspection it turns out that the boosters are all properly sealed and fitted with sequential serialnumbers and id-tags.
They have removed the solid fuel but left them complete and functioning apart from that...refill anyone??
Our guess is that they were seized by customs (wonder why...) and parked behind the building as it wouldn't really fit anywhere else.
I've ordered a lorry with a crane for tonight so fingers crossed as I'm going in for the big one!

Why 'Dutch mode' just use the same language as we all do on this board?
