LPG fuel
Hi I have one or two questions about LPG,
Is it safe to use on a turbocharged car?
When its being used is it only running on LPG as surely the fuel pump for the petrol would still be running unless a switch has to be installed?
Also... If your car does say 100 miles to 10 litres of unleaded would it use roughly the same amount on LPG?
Anyone know?
I thank you

Theres different types of LPG setups, the simple single jet basic crappy systems most have, and some badass complex multi point proper setups.
The more badass versions ive seen working just fine on modified turbo cars.
Im still very suspicious of it all though...

To get the same economy you need your ignition advancing when you are on the gas, im not aware of any aftermarket kits that do that, but i only have a vague knowledge of LPG so thats not proof they dont exist.
you will use slightly more lpg than petrol (think it`s about 10-15% more),but don`t quote me,slight lose of power to,but i dought you will notice it
it will run a turbo car,no probs
as said above you get what you pay for, cheap systems=crap
i had my bm 540 done and it cost me nearly £2500
for me it`s worth every penny, averaging 21 to the gallon
if it was solely petrol i couldn`t afford to run it,but at 39.9p a litre it`s like running a normal modern car
hope this helps
