no rim width wouldn't alter any thing really, only if they were close to the arch but they are a mile off .

i thought about this, but the cost of the alloys was a bit much to run the risk of them not fitting so i kept with the mondeo alloys

they are 18 x 7.5's so there is only half an inch in ot, but the mondeo ones do look fairly chunky in the arches

yeh but how low will these go??? i think the car sits way to high now so i want to get it as low as possible so the 18" will look bigger than they are.

i'll post a set of the 18's up on mine, but it does seem to be on the limit of what the arches will take and what feels comfortable to use everyday

if you can get a pic of the rims you want i'll stick them onto the mondeo

I was going to get some Focus ST wheels for mine but when I saw how close the my Zetec-S wheels are to the shocks ( only a few mm gap ) I didn't want to take the risk of the extra 1/2 inch making the tyre rub.

tyres are mint 2 x brand new ones on the front (budget) and one brand new eagle f1 on back right and again a good tyre on the back left more than 5.5mm tread.

they are in good condition just the back right has a bite mark in it, i'll post pictures of them soon.
