Default standard 1.8 zetec

What would you expect a standard 1800 zetec in the escorts etc to rev to?

Mine struggles like fuck after 4000 it's nothing to do with the fuel crisis shit either but not sure if it's normal for a 70,000 mile car to be a bit poo lol
