Fair enough, but they do fit under standard Escos wheels though... Still not any APs available that fits is there?

Have a look on MLR - some Traders sell Alcon 6 pots, they are brilliant. I got a set off an FQ400 for my Evo VIII

I have a set on my Escort Cosworth, and in my opinion they’re fantastic, and suit my style of driving, albeit I don’t do track days. I’ve had them on almost two years now, and I think they’re much better than the standard set I had on my car. I do approximately 100 miles a day (summer and winter), and 20 miles of that is fast back country road driving. I went with these, as I wanted to retain the standard 16 inch rims. But if I had bigger rims, I would have probably gone for something else like AP, as brake pads don’t seem to be readily available, as I always have to have them on special order. But as a replacement of 4 pot Brembos, I’m not sure if you’re going to gain much for such a large cost layout. My kit cost around Ł1200.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
John

yeah prices are up there with the likes of AP etc, found a set last night for bargain price (just found out the price was wrong), hence the reason for this thread.

JohnP001 thanks for your view

already got standard Brembo's on the car but with black diamond discs n pads, they just dont seem to perform, not sure if its just because the discs n pads are shit or what, i heard to standard Evo brakes were meant to be very good but let you down on track. My train of thought was if im gonna splash some cash on some new brakes may as well go for 6 pots over the standard 4's, why spend Ł1500+ to replace 4 pots with 4 pots.

I had a set of tarox 6pot and found it was quite difficult to keep the car balanced while braking.

don't get me wrong they do stop the car very well but I'd come towards a roundabout slow too much a little too much then be on the gas too early. Not really that progressive like the AP 4pots IMO.

Cheers
Daniel

I would suggest contacting PJ Motorsport who had a set of AP`s made up for a customers 3 door cosworth that was running escort cosworth wheels

Deano, they are for an Evo V, so your usual Ford places aren't going to have them
