Default misfire on startup?

anybody any idea's on what makes a cossie misfire on startup for about a minute. soon as it starts to warm it clears. it only does it when its cold, ie. when you fire it up first thing in the morning. it does'nt do it if its warm and once up to good running temp it does'nt do it at all, no misfire all through the rev range.

Crappy ford coil, mine did it until I used a group a.
Did it even with new MAGNECOR LEADS new AGPR12PP8 plugs as well, does not miss a beat with group a coil.
Better running idling more low down power massively better starting.

Check your CO, and if ok clean your ISCV, these play up more when cold, and can and do cause misfires.
The ISCV does not do just idle, it controls all off boost below 1800rpm.

take the plugs out and check for water sitting on the piston, My friends 3 door was exactly the same and once ran for a while the water clears and all is o.k.

Hopefully not the case but worth checking.

i pulled the plugs out last night, the electrodes look the right colour but they are a bit sooty, so i would say its slighty rich. i'll take them to be cleaned along with the iscv.
whilst there out i'll look down top and see if i can see any puddles. would it be worth doing a compression test, and if so what sort of pressure should i see, (std 200 block).

Mine does the same, really gets on my tits! I'm wondering wether it could be coolant temp sensor or air temp sensor?
