it made a very big bang and locked up both front wheels it put a hole in the front and back of the engine i only had to remove 2 bolts to remove the oil pump

ecu went faulty it was putting to much advance on the timing at a bar of boost

sound system now sold and new engine build has started also going efi as well

Why do you say its the ecu's faulty?
and not a map issue, or too much boost for map?

i sent the ecu off for testing and thats what thay come back with
car was set up by p/e
base timing was set to 10*c btdc co set to 2.5% at idle and running 1 bar of boost
was and i mean a big was running 168bhp

Who tested it? and how?
ps ECU failure like this is un common, infact i've never heard of one, usually down to mapping/boost or sensor/fuel pump/inj/wiring fault.

atp are who tested the ecu the ecu was from ebay i fitted it then got it set up when it happend i was only doing apx 60 to 70 mph on a motor way going up hill and not giving it beans the car has also had fitted new fuel pump and injectors dissy cap and rotor and a dissy
i dont know how they can tell if its faulty but they have the test equipment
also the engine had been rebuilt just before i got the car
who knows????????????????

it was a power/e chip (black chip )which was on the chip itself
pass on the spec

then what was problem? ecu putt to much advance on timing? arent you feel that car is going different than before?
