Default fuel prob

iv just brought a erst (non runner} iv traced the problem down to fuel.when i crack of the nut ontop of the injectors and turn the engine over no fuel comes through. but when i took the pipe off the fuel filter petrol comes out of there,so there is fuel going into the metering unit but not comeing out, does this mean the whole metering unit is fuct?

I think you need to press the metering flap down whilst cranking to get fuel out of the injectors that way?

Could be the plunger stuck on the metering head also, or possibly an air lock within.

For what vroooom ptssssh has suggested, if that gets the car started you probably have an air leak somewhere, best bet is to crank the engine over and see if the flap bobs up and down
