Default 2.1 Zetec16v Turbo Alternator

Im planning to run my 2.1 Zetec16v Turbo on fiesta efi ofab mangment i was just wondering which alternator should
i be useing my orignal one off my S1 or a later mondeo/escort efi one?

the one off your s1 should be fine with the bracket thats on your engine

I aint 100% sure i think its a 1.8 sierra one.

I bought the engine off Red16 so i will stick with the S1 one as its not that old.

Ah ok fair do's. The reason i asked was because if you were using a Series 2 bracket the Series 1 alternator won't fit.

Either should see you through fine, the later 70A one would be preferable though, but i run a 55A on my cabby with the biggest battery you could ever hope to fit in the tray and its fine

Unfortunately not mate, how do you think i learnt about it

The series 2 bracket has the adjuster arm bolted to it, the earlier arms bolt higher up the block, so if you have a MK4 water pump you have a bit of a problem

The mk3 alternator sits much higher than in the mk4.
