car won't idle...
car was working fine changed ecu and accuator to try a chip i recentley purchased basically car was over boosting took back to my house screwed out the accuator for less boost went to start car and it won't idle....thought it might have been a air leak as i had the top boost hose off to make life easier for chaging accuator..checked all hoses were tight started car again same problem...so put back on original ecu and accuator same problem....
i was told by my tuner to try the idle screw control under the throttlebody..the car will idle when cold but instead of it sitting at 1500rpm(or wot ever it is with the auto choke) it sits between 900 -1000 rpm any ideas welcome...
and when it heats up it dies

u could have cured an air leak, and made it richer.
Try opening the idle valve, it wont do any harm, it doesnt touch the fuelling. Also, press the metering flap down a very very small amount when the car is running. It should speed up, if it doesn't - it is too rich.

the idle valve is that the one under the throttle body?i have opened it up .it did speed it up slightly then it died on me again...
