Default Big Intercooler Fan Positioning

Just got my GRS for the S2

Now i'm wondering where is best for the fan?

Should i stick it on the front of the IC, or directly on the radiator (Between the IC and the rad).

What works best?

Cheers

did you buy it new or 2nd hand? usually when you order a new one Graham ask's where you want to fit the fan because the mounting brackets are in different places for how you want the fan!
personally i would put it inbetween the i/c and rad(mounted on the rad) and also go for 2 fans now before fitting cos you'll only have to fit another one when it gets too hot in the summer.

And that was my next question, is it worth putting an extra fan in?

I think i just might

I just have one 10 inch fan fixed to the intercooler, but the intercooler is hard up against the radiator, I have not had any over heating issues.

One question - You spend a lot of money in buying a large intercooler just to block off most of its cooling capacity with 2 fans?

fans are mounted on the radiator, not blocking the intercooler.

unless it is a series 1 then you dont have a lot of choice other than to mount them on the intercooler

fans can be either mounted on the radiator or on the intercooler on a s2, not sure about the s1 though

which is why i said unless it is a s1

the s1 grs intercoolers are massive compared to the s2 ones and you cant sit them forward like on the s2 you just cut the bumper out on a s1 you have a grille in the way
