just rung fords today, dunno why i bothered, got asked if my rs turbo had a turbo and whether it had power steering........ anyway, they want 82 quid for a cam belt tensioner, is this right..??!! are there any other options available or have i gotta bite the bullet n stump up... they also said the water pump has been discontinued, is this true..?? if so are the pattern parts up to the job...?? gonna have about 280bhp thru it, like it to keep cool..!!!

Contitech make a set of cam belt and tensioner for less than 70 pounds. And that's quality stuff usually.

£34.01p inc vat from my local factors for BELT and TENSIONER.
Ford never made the tensioner or water pump merely had FORD stamped on them, a lot of tensioners made by bearing manufacturers, all stuff made by third parties, who continue to use the same machinery etc to make more even when ford stop selling them.
