The engine in that car is in lengthways though? And it appears to have rear strut towers? Could be RWD??

the gordini turbo is an early fwd turbo (suck through not blow through carb) 5... nowt special really just pretty rare
the turbo 1 was the daddy - engine in the back, rwd, efi and alloy panels
the turbo 2 was similar to the turbo 1 but a bit more softy and no alloy panels
Cheers,
Ben

Always had a bit of a soft spot for the Renault 5 Turbo. Shame you don't see many about now. See even fewer nice ones

Ive wanted to get hold of a gordini turbo for ages...

The engine is that way, but they FWD, a lot of cars are, many Audis, most Reno 21s, etc etc

Same block and head as the mid engine RWD GrpB racers tho, and good for 350bhp

Later GTTs have same block but different (not as good) head, the gordini head is the bollocks.

They run a carb BEFORE the turbo, ie the fuel is sucked thru the turbo with the air!

And im seriously considering going n having a gander...
