S1 Engine build/recon + power upgrade£££???? and who?
I'm stripping down my series 1 and fully restoring the shell, the cars just gone round the clock so i want to do the engine too. Its got full service history, no engine mods but obviously its well tired at this point.
What sort of cost am i looking at for a full engine rebuild either standard or looking for 150 - 200 bhp retaining as much reliabiliy as possible?
Also who would you choose/recomend for the engine work?
Cheers guys

Just had quite a bit of work done at PJ motorsport in Wolverhampton/Willenhall. Would recommend him without a doubt. You would need to speak to him regarding prices, but I believe re-builds by him are £500 + parts cost. Not a ridiculous journey from Derby either.
Cheers guys
I know of Noble motorsport in chesterfield which is where i live, but not heard of Norris Motorsport, i'll look them up and have a word with them. Anyone else dealt with them/recommend them?
What upgrades/parts would i need to get between 150 - 200 bhp retaining reliability?

Main thing is a good set up by a reputable tuner.

If i was to strip the engine down, buy all the parts required, what other things would i need to get done? For example the block, pistons, rings, crank, head, cam, valves, bearings etc? I'm a trainee auto electrician but have access to plenty of tools/equipment and work with a good mechanic for any help, just wandering how difficult it would be getting all the machine work done seperatley and then building the engine up myself before having it setup properly.
Thanks
