Default 2wd deflex rear beam bush fitting?

hello all, i got a set of the deflex bushes, now i have fitted the rear beam ones already to the beam, but you also get a bit round, flat one.

i think i have seen before that this is also for the beam...

soooooooo

where the fook does it go lol?

im guesig that the knobbly bits on the topof the beam bush go against the car, and that the big flat one goes at the bottom, with the cutout bit sitting on the little plate bit that bolts the beam to the car as that has a slightly raised section???

anyone got any pics??

ta

the flat bush bits sit on top of the big beam mount against the body of the car, the big bolt goes through it all ...if needed, some dont need it thats why its extra and not fitted to the bush....

it chnges the angle of the rear beam, without it the beam doesnt sit like it did with the standard bushes.....i measured it up

the bloke from deflex said, if you fit it without the spacer, there will be a gap between the bush and the body... thats where it goes. only some need it, so offer it up, if there is a gap use it. if no gap dont use it.

~Its an addition and it does go at the top, Its came from an old Group N trick were they would put a steel plate above that main bush to reduce movement as they are only allow a stock bush, Once fitted it still look stock.

I,m leaving mine on the bottom

Had full alignment check and all is ok,no vibrations on road etc

My m8 fitted his on the top, didn't look right, the gap between beam and chassis was massive.
Also look how much of the standard bush sticks out of the top of the beam, also look how much of a Powerflex beam mount sticks out of the top, both the same as the Deflex with the spacer fitted at the bottom

What are the bobbles on the top of the beam mount for if they sit against this spacer????
The bobbles on standard bush sit against chassis

You experiment with yours and tell us which way you think they should go

I reckon they go on bottom, the bush/spacer you are talikin about has a cut out on the one side of it,this sits perfectly on the raised part of the bottom plate that bolts upto beam

Ask Stu how my car drove when he live mapped it,he commented on how nice it was on the road

What is the reason for the cut out then????To sit on the flat chassis

They go on the bottom

The cut out fits perfectly onto the bottom plate that bolts upto beam, and the bobbles on the main beam bush sit against chassis, the same as the standard bushes do

but the beam doesnt sit in the same place as with the standard bushes without them on top. its all pissed

deflex made the bushes. and told me they go on top, even gave me a diagram when i asked them.

the grp A ones have a spacer on top.

in this picture, look at the gap between the beam and the body (A and B) above the mounting. the gap is not equal either side, this is because the beam is mounted to tight to the body ,it needs the spacer to make it straight.

in my opinion this means the wear and forces will be put onto the A side of the bush , point B may not even be touching the body!

If the spacer was above ,as mine is, the beam sits straight.

sorry for the shonkey photoshop work! its late and been a long day!

Thats just the way pic is angled

Is the same gap,and beam is straight m8

Will take a level pic if I remember next time I go to farm to work on car

Find a pic of a standard beam bush fitted to beam, the amount sticking out of the top of the beam is the same as the Deflex without the spacer on the top,but the underside of the deflex is smaller than standard bush,so the spacer goes on the bottom
